  1. Right click on the .nd/.tlg file and Rename it by adding the word “.old” after the file extension and hit Enter.

           Example: company_file.qbw.nd.OLD, company_file.qbw.tlg.OLD

  1. Open the options in QuickBooks by hitting right click along with pressing CTRL key on the QuickBooks icon and choose Run as administrator. Hold the CTRL key unless you have No Company Open window.

Company file is missing or cannot be found

When you open the company file and see the pop-up message on your screen mentioning the following errors:

Warning: The company file you selected could not be found. You can try one of the following:

Choose the Open or Restore Company… command from the ‘File’ menu to look for this file in a different directory.
